Y-type filter is suitable for purification and filtration of gaseous media (gas, artificial gas, liquefied petroleum gas and other non-corrosive gases). It is widely used in transmission and distribution systems such as gas pressure regulating (skid) stations, distribution stations and gate stations. It plays an important role in protecting the normal operation of pressure regulators, flow meters, valves and other equipment in the system. It can meet the requirements of the gas supply system for the accuracy of the filter. The filtration accuracy of the gas Y-type filter refers to the size of the smallest impurity particle size that can be filtered out when the gas passes through the filter, and the nominal size of its diameter is expressed in μm. The smaller the particle size, the higher the accuracy requirements of the filter.
It can meet the requirements of the system for filtering capacity. The filtering capacity of the gas Y-type filter refers to the maximum flow allowed through the Y-type filter under a certain pressure difference. Usually, the maximum flow rate is given by the design of the main engine characteristics of the gas turbine, and then the opening rate of the composite network is calculated according to the number of layers and mesh of the filter screen, so as to calculate the effective area coefficient and resistance coefficient of the filter screen.
The filter element material should have a certain mechanical strength to ensure that it will not be damaged under working pressure. In gas Y-type filters, stainless steel screens are usually used.

Large Y-type filters with high temperature and high pressure should have elastic elements that absorb the elongation of the filter element to prevent large extrusion deformation of the filter element and prevent leakage gaps.
